Under CM Smt. Rekha Gupta's leadership, 15 Arogya Mandirs were planned in Shalimar Bagh constituency, with 7 now operational at B.B. West, U.U. Block Pitampura, Singalpur Community Hall, A.C. Under the leadership of CM Smt. Rekha Gupta, three Atal Canteens were inaugurated in the Shalimar Bagh constituencyat Nehru Camp near Haiderpur–Badli Mor Metro Station, G.P. Under HCM Smt. Rekha Gupta's leadership, India's first specialized insulated Hotline Maintenance Vehicle worth ₹1.5 crore was launched, enabling live-line electrical maintenance without power shutdowns. This revolutionary initiative ensures uninterrupted electricity supply during repairs, minimizing inconvenience to residents and setting new standards in power infrastructure management across Shalimar Bagh.
Under CM Smt. Rekha Gupta's leadership, a Water ATM was installed near CM Shri School at B.L. Block, Shalimar Bagh, providing residents with 24/7 access to clean, purified drinking water. Under CM Smt. Rekha Gupta's leadership, new high-mast and pole lights worth ₹97 lakh were installed across Shalimar Bagh and Pitampura. CCTV cameras were installed in multiple blocks, steel gates in RWAs, and boundary walls constructed, significantly strengthening public safety, surveillance infrastructure, and security for residents throughout the constituency.

Under CM Smt. Rekha Gupta's leadership, comprehensive sewage and water pipeline works were undertaken across Shalimar Bagh constituency. New underground reservoirs, tube wells, and online booster pumps were inaugurated in CA and BW Blocks at ₹65 lakh, ensuring 24/7 water supply and improved sanitation infrastructure for residents' health and convenience.
Under CM Smt. Rekha Gupta's leadership, IGL gas pipeline connectivity was extended to Pitampura, Singalpur Village, Shalimar Village, Haiderpur Village, and Sahipur Village. CM Smt. Rekha Gupta and Hon'ble Minister Shri Ashish Sood inaugurated underground electrical wiring projects in Shalimar Bagh, including an ₹8.07 crore pilot project replacing overhead wires with underground cables and a ₹2.8 crore project converting 33 KV overhead conductors from Shalimar Bagh Khosla Grid to Netaji Subhash Place Circuit, ensuring a safer and uninterrupted power supply.
Under Chief Minister Smt. Rekha Gupta’s leadership, Shalimar Bagh witnessed a major developmental leap with the inauguration of three Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, an Atal Canteen, and construction works for the Meenakshi Temple Road. Prioritising health, dignity, and connectivity, these initiatives ensure free quality healthcare, nutritious meals at ₹5 for the needy, and reduced traffic congestion. These projects reflect the Delhi Government’s welfare-oriented vision, delivering essential amenities to improve the quality of life for every resident.
A pilot project worth ₹8.07 crore was completed in Shalimar Bagh to shift overhead electricity lines underground. This also included the conversion of a 33,000 KV overhead conductor into an underground cable from the Shalimar Bagh Khosla Grid to the Netaji Subhash Place Circuit, worth ₹2.8 crore, significantly improving public safety, urban aesthetics, and the reliability of Delhi’s power infrastructure.
Under the leadership of HCM Rekha Gupta Two CM Shree Schools will be established in BL and BT Blocks of Shalimar Bagh, and a new PM Shree School is being developed on 5,000 yards in Haiderpur to ensure students receive high-quality education within the constituency.
CM Rekha Gupta inaugurated new underground reservoirs, new tube wells, and online booster pumps in CA Block and BW Block of Shalimar Bagh at a cost of approximately Rs 65 lakh, and unveiled plans to build rainwater harvesting points in low-lying areas of Shalimar Bagh.
CM Rekha Gupta laid the foundation stone for a new Yoga Centre in the CA Block of Shalimar Bagh, and an Ayurvedic Hospital is set to commence within two years, strengthening holistic healthcare infrastructure in the constituency.
CM Rekha Gupta inaugurated several key infrastructure projects in Shalimar Bagh, including new sewer lines in TP, VP, LP, and HD blocks, costing ₹60 lakh, and a road between SP-1 and SP-65, developed with ₹11 lakh. Additionally, she launched a modern sewer cleaning machine in Vaishali, two projects worth ₹2 crore, and handed over completed projects worth ₹63.12 lakh and ₹94.53 lakh in the Shalimar Bagh JJ cluster. High-mast and pole lights were also installed in Shalimar Bagh and Pitampura at ₹97 lakh.
Under the leadership of Councillor Rekha Gupta, Shalimar Bagh witnessed the start of key development initiatives that paved the way for lasting change.
For the first time, proper street lighting has been installed across slums, villages, roads, and parks in the constituency. After 40 years, AC Block Market was illuminated with new lights, while 14 additional streetlights were installed on the road behind Fortis Hospital, eliminating dark spots.
Fifteen parks in the ward (AD, BD, BG1, BH West, BFH, AM-AN, BF, AE, BN West, BI, Police Colony, AL-AK, AG-AK-AH) were equipped with sports facilities and open gyms. Over 500 benches were installed, and beautification works were carried out in AA, BFH, AN, BH (East), BQ, AG Block, AD (101 Park), BR, BA, AG-AK Block, and Maharaja Agrasen Park. The newly developed Shiv Park in AM-AN Block has become a major gift for residents.
Roads were reconstructed in BP and BN Blocks. Over 2,000 slabs were laid to improve drains in BH East, AC Block, and Singalpur village. A pedestrian pathway was built in BB West, DDA plots were cleaned using machines, and boundary walls with fencing were added at Lal Road Parking. Security fencing was installed in BD, BF, BR, BFH, and BM (West).
New public toilets were constructed in AJ Block, Shramik Chowk, and Singalpur village. Water tankers were installed in DT Mall, Haiderpur, and Shalimar village. Tree pruning, along with new drain construction in BH East, AC Block, and Singalpur village, further strengthened cleanliness and public health.
Regular inspections were conducted to monitor project progress. Strict action was taken against corruption and negligence. The “Zero to Hero” campaign revived neglected areas and gave them a fresh identity.
Over 25,000 school bags were distributed to students and more than 1,000 teachers were felicitated. The Abhimanyu Student Program revived education by motivating meritorious students.
