Smt. Rekha Gupta's leadership is defined by integrity, service, and a strong connection with the people. From leading the Delhi University Students’ Union to serving as Chief Minister of Delhi, her journey has been an inspiring example of commitment and purpose. Guided by senior RSS pracharak Shri Prem Ji Goyal and inspired by the Sangh’s values, she has been deeply involved in social and organizational work.
Her political career began in 1993 at Daulat Ram College through ABVP; she later became DUSU President (1996–97) and won the Municipal Corporation election from North Pitampura in 2007. Recognized for her dedication, she was appointed to the party’s National Executive and served actively in the Mahila Morcha, Education Committee, and Standing Committee — always keeping Delhi’s development and public welfare at the heart of her work.
Under the leadership of CM Rekha Gupta, the Delhi Government is implementing a structured employment support programme for families affected by the 1984 anti-Sikh riots. On 12 December, 36 eligible family members were provided government job appointment letters under Phase 2, extending long-pending institutional support to affected households. These appointments go beyond economic assistance and represent formal recognition of dignity, rights, and identity. To ensure inclusivity, the government has also allowed the option for victims’ children to take up employment where the original beneficiary is of advanced age. Earlier, under Phase 1 in May 2025, 19 eligible beneficiaries were provided government jobs and are currently in service, reflecting timely and effective implementation.

The Delhi Government has established and operationalized 238 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs and Jan Aushadhi Kendras across the city, alongside a major plan to expand hospital infrastructure by increasing Delhi’s hospital bed ratio from the current 0.47 beds per 1,000 citizens to at least 3 beds per 1,300 citizens. These centers have significantly strengthened primary healthcare delivery by providing citizens with access to essential medical services closer to home. Through Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, people receive free consultations, diagnostics, and preventive care, while Jan Aushadhi Kendras ensure the availability of quality medicines at highly affordable prices. Together, these initiatives are reducing out-of-pocket medical expenses, improving early treatment, and making primary healthcare more accessible, efficient, and citizen-friendly for Delhi’s residents.
